Who we are

Expected Pointless is an independent Fantasy Premier League show. Contact: hello@expectedpointless.com. We are not affiliated with the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League.

What we collect

• Email address — when you subscribe to the Friday Brief, unlock site features, or join a waitlist, together with which form you used.
• Technical basics — standard server logs (IP, browser type, pages requested) via our hosting provider, used for security and keeping the site working.

We do not collect names, payment details, or anything else. The site uses no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies; a small amount of local browser storage remembers your preferences (like having subscribed) on your own device.

What we use it for

By subscribing you agree that we may email you:

• the Friday Brief and other Expected Pointless editorial emails;
• updates and marketing about Expected Pointless — new features (such as Your Team), content, and offers relating to the show.

The legal basis is your consent, given when you enter your email and press subscribe. We will never sell your email or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Unsubscribing

Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or email hello@expectedpointless.com with "unsubscribe" and we'll remove you promptly. Unsubscribing stops all marketing immediately.

Where it lives

Emails are stored and processed by our service providers: Airtable (subscriber list), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (site hosting). Each processes data on our instructions under their own security terms. Some processing may occur outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards.

Retention

We keep your email while you're subscribed and delete it when you unsubscribe or ask us to, except where a minimal record is needed to honour an opt-out.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and you can withdraw consent at any time — just email hello@expectedpointless.com. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

If this policy changes materially we'll say so on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
