FPL GW6 team news is dominated by a handful of well-owned players. The deadline is Saturday 10 October, 11:00 UK, and 109 players are flagged across all 20 clubs. We have filtered that down to the flags that matter: players owned by at least 1% or in our predicted XI.
Who is out for GW6?
Isak is the biggest hole. He is owned by 18.0% of managers, FPL lists him as "Thigh injury - Unknown return date" and our model has him at 0.0 xP for the Manchester City game. His likely replacement,
Danns, has only a 9% start probability, so Liverpool owners should not expect a like-for-like cover.
Gakpo is also out with "Ankle injury - Unknown return date", and
Ngumoha is the likeliest stand-in at 20%.
Elsewhere,
Tzolis has "Hamstring injury - Expected back 24 Oct" and
Brobbey "Hamstring injury - Expected back 25 Oct".
Pedro Porro has an unknown return date, with
Senesi at 11% to cover.
Foden is suspended until 17 October.
Which doubts are worth worrying about?
Several Arsenal and Manchester City players sit at a 75% chance of playing, and our predicted XI includes them:
Konsa (17.6% owned, £4.6m): projected 3.2 xP against Leeds.
Mosquera would start at 41% if he misses out.
Rice (10.7%):
Lewis-Skelly is the cover at 39%.
Semenyo (13.7%):
Doku is only 16% to start in his place, so a miss is costly.
Havertz (7.0%):
Gyökeres is the replacement at 12%.
A 75% flag means he is more likely to play than not, but it is not safe. If you own one of these and have a decent bench option, waiting for the line-ups is reasonable; check predicted line-ups before the deadline.
N.Williams is the one to watch for Nottingham Forest. He is flagged with "Illness - 50% chance of playing" as of today, and
Netz has a 20% start probability. His Forest teammate
Igor Jesus is out with "Calf injury - Unknown return date", with
Wood at 24% to replace him.
Robinson of Fulham is a new 75% flag, with
Andersen at 11%.
Who is back?
Eight players have come off the list. The big names are
João Pedro, owned by 64.9%, and
Palmer at 24.2%, both Chelsea.
Van Hecke,
James,
White,
Jacquet,
Dunk and
Caicedo are also clear. João Pedro being fit matters most given how many managers hold him.
What should you do?
- If you own Isak or Gakpo, the replacements are weak, so the decision is about whether to move now or wait. Isak's projected 22.4 xP over the next six gameweeks was lost to this injury.
- For the 75% flags, look at the bench cover first and avoid a transfer just for a doubt.
- Where the likely replacement has a high start probability, such as
Herrington at 68% for Hull, the damage from the absence is small.

How we worked this out
Status, chance of playing and news text come from FPL's own data. Start probabilities and xP are from our model, which is a forecast rather than a fact. Club statements are used to cross-check the biggest names.
How this is written: an AI model drafts it from our projections and FPL's own data, and it is published only after an automatic check that every number, player and link in it comes from that data. The projections are graded in public on the scorecard.
