Which FPL transfers are best by position?
Goalkeeper. Trafford leads at 26.8 xP for £5.0m, owned by just 5.6%.
Donnarumma is next on 24.7 at £5.5m, then
Tzolakis on 24.4 at £4.7m.
Raya (23.9, £6.1m) is the premium option and the only one here with real ownership, at 43.7%. The spread is narrow, so a goalkeeper move is rarely worth a hit.
Defence. De Cuyper is clearly top on 36.4 xP at £5.1m, and he has a home game with Crystal Palace first. Behind him are
Guéhi (32.7, £6.0m),
Calafiori (29.1, £5.9m),
Vuskovic (28.4, £5.1m) and
Tarkowski (28.3, £6.2m).
Midfield. Saka tops the list on 36.7 xP, but at £9.6m.
Cherki (34.1, £7.9m) and
Groß (33.9, £6.0m) are close behind for far less money.
B.Fernandes projects 33.0 at £11.9m, and
Mbeumo 32.8 at £7.9m.
Forward. Haaland is in a league of his own on 49.7 xP, at £15.6m and 75.2% owned.
João Pedro is next on 34.9 at £7.8m. The rest drop away:
Barry 24.9,
Calvert-Lewin 24.0,
Havertz 23.4.
Where is the value in FPL GW7?
We rank value as projected points over the next six gameweeks per £1m, for players projected 12 or more.
- Defence: De Cuyper again, at 7.1 per £1m.
Thomas (6.1, £4.0m) and
Bogle (6.0, £4.7m) follow, and both free up budget. - Midfield: Groß leads on 5.6, ahead of
Gomez (4.9, £5.0m) and
Janelt (4.7, £5.0m). - Forward: João Pedro on 4.5 and Barry on 4.4.
- Goalkeeper: Trafford on 5.4, then Tzolakis on 5.2 and
Verbruggen on 5.0.
What is a differential in FPL, and who are the GW7 picks?
A differential is a player owned by few managers, so a good return moves you up the rankings rather than just keeping pace. For this list we use players owned by under 5%. Our model likes a run of defenders:
- Vuskovic: 28.4 xP, £5.1m, 4.6% owned
Justin: 27.0 xP, £4.5m, 1.6% owned
Muharemović: 26.9 xP, £5.0m, 4.5% owned
Rúben: 26.1 xP, £5.5m, 1.9% owned
Stach: 25.6 xP, £6.0m, 2.3% owned
Matheus N.: 25.2 xP, £5.9m, 1.0% owned
Several share a club, so doubling up is an option, but it concentrates risk. A differential only pays if the player starts, and our model is less certain about squad players than regulars.
What is the crowd buying and selling?
The most transferred in are De Cuyper, Groß, João Pedro, Cherki and
Rogers. Our projections back the crowd: all five are above 31 xP, with De Cuyper at 36.4, Groß 33.9, João Pedro 34.9, Cherki 34.1 and Rogers 31.9.
The most transferred out are more mixed. B.Fernandes is being sold despite projecting 33.0, so the model sees no reason to rush.
Isak (19.5),
Szoboszlai (11.0) and
Gakpo (17.3) are the sales our numbers support, while
Schade projects 24.2.
How much do FPL transfers cost?
Each free transfer is, well, free. Beyond your free transfers each extra move costs a points hit, so a move must project to gain more than the hit over the horizon. Rolling a free transfer is often right when no target stands out. Our transfer trends page tracks the crowd, price changes shows who is about to rise, and the squad builder tests combinations. The fixture ticker and differentials pages go deeper.
How we worked this out
Projected points come from our model, which combines price, minutes, fixtures and form, over Gameweeks 7 to 12. Ownership and transfer trends come from FPL's own data. Treat projections as forecasts, not promises. See all players for the full list.
How this is written: an AI model drafts it from our projections and FPL's own data, and it is published only after an automatic check that every number, player and link in it comes from that data. The projections are graded in public on the scorecard.
